Titan Fitness X 3 series power racks are made of 3” X 3 ” 11 gauge steel frame and have a rackable capacity of more than 1500 lbs. They are meant for people who are strong enough to lift crazy amounts of weight or for those fitness enthusiasts who do not have any hesitation in spending more money on a product that they won’t outgrow any time soon.
This article is a detailed review of the Titan Fitness X 3 series bolt down power pack, which is one of the most suitable alternatives to the more expensive options such as Rogue RM Series Monster Racks and Rep Fitness PR-5000 power cages. However, we will be giving you a short brief of all other racks that are included in the X3 series.
Basically, the Titan X 3 series has a flat foot power rack, a bolt down power cage (which we are reviewing), and a wall-mount foldable squat cage. The flat foot one is meant to be used without being anchored to the floor whereas the bolt down one must be bolted. They are available in two different heights to suit various home gym needs.
Below is the review of the Bolt down Titan X 3 series power rack.

Quick Review Summary
Titan Fitness X 3 series bolt down power rack is a heavy-duty beastly product meant for advanced trainers, athletes, and powerlifters who are on a budget and do not want to spend double the amount for a similar rack from a better brand. It needs to be bolted to the floor but you can still use it if you weigh it down. Anchoring is, however, the safest way to use it.
Titan X3 series power rack is a very basic product that comes with a dual pullup bar and a pair of j-hooks. You will have to buy the spotter arms separately. The welding and finishing are not that great but they would work unless you are a perfectionist.

Titan X 3 series power rack provides everything that you get with more expensive racks but at half their price
The frame is made of 3”X 3” 11 gauge steel, which is the gold standard for any squat rack that is meant for heavy-duty use by bodybuilders, military persons, athletes, etc. It is rated for 1600+lbs which itself reflects the quality of the frame. It comes with all the necessary hardware that you would need to bolt it together to the floor whereas for Rogue squat racks you have to buy them separately.
The two different pullup bars serve exactly what the fat/skinny bar of Rogue intends to provide.
The thicker bar has 2” diameter and can be used by people with big hands or those who want to improve their grip. If you think you don’t need the thick bar, you can simply use it to hang a pair of gymnastic rings or maybe a cable pulley system so you can do a wide variety of upper body exercises. The standard bar will still be available for use.
Assembly instructions are not enough but assembly is easy
Titan Fitness imports its products from other countries and usually does not really bother putting up a detailed assembly guide. They have recently started making assembly videos though and the videos are OK.
As you can guess from the image of the rack, there is nothing much to assemble. You can do it yourself within a couple of hours but do not hesitate to ask for help from a friend or a family member.
You can customize it as per the availability of space in your home gym
As we stated above, you can choose from two different heights and two different widths. You can choose to anchor it to the floor or you may want to just weigh it down using optional weight plate holders. You can choose from 6 different colors but we would rather stick to black because we don't really like to have too many colors in our home gyms.
Titan Fitness also sells a wide variety of accessories and add-ons that you can use to enhance its usability. Basically, the Titan X 3 series bolt down power rack is a very basic product sold at a very reasonable price. You can buy whatever you want to use. This helps buyers save money by opting out of unnecessary fancy features and add-ons.
The holes of the uprights of Titan X 3 series bolt down rack are not numbered
This is not a big deal but it could get a bit annoying because it will be difficult for you to remember the position of your J-hooks.
One thing you can do is you can buy additional j-hooks and leave a pair each in the benching zone and the squatting zone so you don't have to change their positions at all. Otherwise, you can use a permanent marker to number the holes but that may not look good.
Most heavy-duty, high-end power cages come with properly numbered holes, so probably Titan should have also followed the same standard.
Nevertheless, here is how you can mark the holes of your squat rack so you can easily remember the position of your add-ons.
Plus there are not many holes on the sides of the uprights
Now, look at the image above. The red lines show the space between the holes at the sides of the uprights. This gap is 6 inches, which does not sound like a big deal until you try adding various accessories to your rack.
For example, if you have already added a dip bar at a spot, the next spot where you can add another add-on will be either 6 inches high or 6 inches low. For some specific exercises and add-ons, this 6 inches gap could be too much.
To be honest, unless you are an athlete or a bodybuilder who uses too many accessories to perform too many varieties of workouts in one session, this shouldn't be an issue but you should know what to expect from the Titan X3 series bolt down power rack.
If we talk about the competition, a lot of heavy duty squat racks meant for advanced trainers such as the Rogue RM series racks and the REP Fitness PR 5000 power rack have westside hole spacing throughout the uprights on all sides of it.
The quality of the welding and finishing isn’t that great
You won’t realize this by looking at the product images the manufacturer has used on its website or where it is selling its products. But, the welds and finishing are not very pleasing to the eye. They may not fail you though.
Look at the above image to get an idea of how the welds typically look. Whether you buy Titan’s economy-range squat racks such as the Titan T2 series power rack or the most premium quality ones such as the Titan Fitness X 3 series power racks, you won’t see much improvement in welding and finishing. It doesn’t matter to us though because it is anyways much cheaper than the other similar products.
Make sure you buy a pair spotter arm separately
Power racks usually come with a pair of spotter arms and j-hooks because these two are the main add-ons you would need to get started. The spotter arms are safety features, so they may not be needed if you are barely lifting anything but if you are training hard where chances of failed reps are high, you must have them.
As we said above, even affordable squat racks come with spotter arms but not the Titan Fitness X3 series bolt down rack. You have to buy it separately while placing your order, so the final price will be more than what you thought you would be paying. Even the Titan T3 series power rack doesn’t come with spotter arms. So, make sure you check the product description thoroughly to know what you are ordering.
