So we finally got our hands on the Fitness Reality Multi-Function Half Rack and overall, we believe it’s a great half rack for the price. Read on in order to find out some of the things we love about it and some of the problems we have with it!

Quick Review Summary
Our recommendation is that this half rack is a good buy for the budget conscious consumer. We think it’s one of the best affordable half racks we’ve been able to review but we wouldn’t currently rate it as highly as the Hulk Fit half rack that we have previously reviewed.
Pros
- Does not take up a lot of space.
- Easy to put together.
- Very affordable price.
- Comes with interesting accessories like the land mine attachment.
Cons
- Not a super duty half rack like some of the Rogue Fitness half racks.
- Has a bit of wobble to it though that can be cured by weighing it down.
- Not a super well-known brand like Rogue Fitness, Brat Fitness or Tighten Fitness.
- The overall height of the half rack leaves a little bit to be desired.

We bought the half rack through Amazon, so the website and buying experience were, of course great!
Customer Service
As we said previously, we bought the half rack through Amazon so the customer service experience is what you would expect from them.
Luckily, we didn’t have any problems getting it shipped except for a delay in shipping, so we did not have to deal with Amazon Customer Service at all.
Shipping
Since we purchased this half rack through Amazon, shipping was quick even though we have the delay of a few weeks due to the Coronavirus. However once we got the notification that the shipping, that the item was shipped out, it was shipped to us within a week.
Packaging
The packaging for this half rack was actually quite good. While some of the box was a little bit ripped up, overall, it has still maintained its integrity and all the pieces and parts were secured inside the cardboard packaging. No problem with the packaging for this item.
Tools for Assembly
One great thing about this half rack is they provided some halfway decent tools in order to assemble the squat rack. Now I still used my own power tools to put it together but it’s nice to know if the company was willing to throw away some tools to assist with the job. I still would not recommend using those tools as it might make assembly take a lot longer!
As usual, I always recommend power tools for putting a rack together!

Assembly was quick and easy and as you can see from the above gif, it was easy for one person to put together quite quickly. And that’s the thing about these half racks, they don’t take a lot of space and they’re easy to put together which is one reason why we like them so much
Instructions
The instructions that came with the half rack were actually surprisingly detailed. It was a several-paged instruction manual and at first glance, I thought that it would be a good thing to have such highly-detailed instructions but in the end it turned out to actually be a little confusing. So in this case, including too much, was kind of a problem.
Wobble Factor
So this is not a heavy duty half rack and you have to keep that in mind when you purchase it. There was a significant wobble factor when compared to other half racks like the Rogue Fitness half racks. However, that could be help to greatly, by simply using the weight horns to weigh the half rack down and make it move less.
Hole Spacing
So the hole spacing for this half rack was okay. It's 3 inches.
Weld and Steel Quality
As I often say, I am not an expert on steel quality and wielding, however, the steel of this half rack looked very high quality to me and I did not see any issues with the welds from a cursory glance.
Upright Size
The size of the uprights for this half rack is 2×2 inch tubes, that’s a decent size uprights for a half rack like this, pretty standard really.
Accessories Available
So this half rack, unlike some other half racks, does come with weight horns in the back to hold additional weight.
It also comes with these safety bars and one interesting accessory that it comes with, is this land mine attachment.
This land mine attachment allows you to attach and insert a barbell into it where you can perform some dynamic exercises.
Other than that, there are no other accessories available for sale with the half rack. However, any accessories that fit a 2×2 inch upright size should work for this rack.
J-cups
The J-cups for this half rack are good but not great. They also have some rubber coating on the inside of the J-hook which you can see on my video and I’m not sure how durable that coating is. I’m not sure how long it would last.
What could be better
Well with a lot of these racks, one thing that could be better is the labelling on these holes on the uprights. It would be great if they numbered them. Another thing that could be good, like I mentioned earlier in the article, is higher quality J-hooks. Finally, the weight horns could be thicker to support traditional olympic weights.
Resale Value
I don’t know a lot about the resale value of this rack yet as I have not sold it at the time of writing of this article. I would expect it to not perform well though as other brands like Rogue Fitness, Rep Fitness or Tighten Fitness. So I will update the article once I sell it.
Space Saving
This rack does save a lot of space since it is a half rack and takes up a lot less space than a full rack.

Wrap Up
We are impressed with this half rack and we think it’s a great option for someone who’s budget conscious but still wants a decent half rack. And the fact that it’s also sold by Amazon makes the whole transaction a lot easier and you get the Amazon guarantee if anything goes wrong with the rack.
