Full Written Review:
The Vive foot rocket is an easy-to-use mobility tool highly recommended for people suffering from plantar fasciitis, Achilles tendinitis, and other chronic conditions that are often associated with limited ankle mobility. Plus, if you are a runner or a highly active person who often tends to suffer from soreness, this foot rocket can help give a deep stretch to your calf muscles, which will further help relieve pain, reduce strain, and prevent injury.
The beauty of this mobility tool is that it does not require any battery or electricity. All you need to do is to place your foot in the slot and rock it forward and backward until the desired stretch is achieved. You can use it as many times as you want without any risk. Plus, you can use it anytime you feel like, such as while watching TV, talking on the phone, reading a magazine, etc.
We have been using the Vive foot rocker calf stretcher for a few weeks now. It is indeed a great tool, which is why we thought of reviewing it on our website here. We highly recommend it for runners and people who are on their feet for long hours and for those who are suffering from ankle mobility issues.
Here is a detailed review of the Vive calf stretcher foot rocker:
Build and design
We agree with most other buyers who have stated that the Vive foot rocker is well built and durable. You can put enough weight on it without worrying about it cracking in half. We carefully studied thousands of reviews on Amazon and none of them have mentioned any durability issues.
There is a mid-foot gap, so you can move your feet a bit forward or backward to work different muscle groups and get different types of stretches.
Please note: Vive foot stretcher (and all other similar products) is not supposed to be used barefoot. It is not a massage tool, it is a stretcher. If you use it barefoot, the hard plastic will make you feel uncomfortable. You might even lose balance.
Some buyers have complained that the packaging box features a person using it barefooted, which is silly and unacceptable. However, the manufacturer has clearly mentioned in the user guide that it must be used with shoes. Any shoe is fine but, as per the manufacturer, flat rubber-soled shoes are best.
Safety of use
Vive foot rocker calf stretcher has two rubber strips at the bottom that prevent it from slipping and skidding. We have used it on tiles, wooden floors, carpets, as well as on our exercise mat. It doesn’t skid at all. So, if you are a senior citizen or if you otherwise have a poor balance, don’t worry. It will stay at its place, making it easier for you to do your stretches.
It has an ergonomic design, suitable for almost everyone. The place where you put your heels has a plate to keep your feet secured within it, which helps prevent your ankle from twisting, in case you accidentally lose your balance. The entire surface has threads to give a good grip to your shoes.
A few buyers have complained that unless you have a good balance, you might fall off. Well, that’s true but it is not the product’s fault. You are not supposed to use it without having something to hold on to. You must have a chair or a wall close by. Do not absolutely trust your balance.
Thousands of buyers are swearing by the effectiveness of the Vive Foot rocker calf stretcher. 81% of buyers have rated it more than 4 stars. Undeniably, it is beneficial for people suffering from ankle mobility-related issues.
There are tons of exercises that you can do for plantar fasciitis or even just for stretching your calf muscles, but having this tool makes it much easier. Using it is quicker than rolling a towel and sitting on a floor. Plus, its design makes stretching much easier and effective.
Numerous buyers have stated that the Vive foot rocker calf stretcher also helps stretch out the hamstring and glute muscles.
- Comes with a free spike massage ball for trigger point massage. Use both and you will instantly feel a difference in your calf muscles.
- Comes with an exercise booklet that shows you the various ways in which you can use the Vive foot rocker calf stretcher.
- Comes with a lifetime money back guarantee.
- Compact and portable. You can carry it with you during your office trips or vacations.
- Even though the manufacturer claims that the Vive foot rocket calf stretcher is meant for all shoe sizes, some buyers have found it to be rather small. If you have large to extra large feet, you can expect your toes to remain a bit off. You can still use it though. But, if you want something that is sized just right for your feet, you can buy a ProStretch adjustable calf stretcher. It costs about $10 more but, honestly, we don’t feel the need for it.
- The manual says there are two foot stretchers attached sized by side but that’s not true. You actually get one calf stretcher. You need to use it on one leg at a time. No need to buy another piece because you anyways won’t be able to use both of them together. You will fall off.
Our Rating: 4/5
The sizing issue is the only reason why we have rated it a bit low. When it is small, the center of your foot doesn’t get placed at the mid-foot gap. It would remain a bit off-balance affecting the amount of stretch you get. Although it is a negligible issue, the manufacturer should consider making it a bit longer. Otherwise, it is a fantastic product and highly recommended for anyone who would love to stretch their leg muscles at the end of a tiring day.
