Full Written Review:

Since you are looking for LAT pulldown bars, we assume you already own a power cage/squat cage to which you can attach it. If not, here are some affordable options that can help you get started.

We recently bought the DYNASQUARE lat pulldown bar because it is one of the top-selling home gym equipment these days. After using it for weeks we conclude that it is the best Lat pulldown bar you can buy if you are on a budget. We are highly impressed with its build quality. Plus, it is genuinely priced!

In this article, we will provide you with a detailed review of DYNASQUARE lat pulldown bar so you can decide if it will be suitable for accessorizing your home gym.

Please note that it is not a straight-arm pulldown bar. If you want to do straight bar lat pulldown exercises, this product won’t work for you. Here are some of the alternative options that you may check out. We haven’t tried any of them but they are some of the top-rated ones, so we hope they will serve your purpose.

Don’t know what difference it makes whether you buy a straight lat pull down bar or a bent one?

The below information will help you.

Straight pulldown bars versus LAT pull down bars

Although it seems like both of them use the same muscle groups, LAT pull down bars help you engage more muscles. Straight bar lat pulldown exercises work more on shoulders and triceps whereas LAT bars let you target biceps and abs too! Further, bended lat pull down bars are more comfortable and less straining to use.

You can read this article from LiveStrong for more details.

Let’s begin our review now.

Full review of DYNASQUARE LAT Pulldown Bar

  • Length: 30 inches. The straight bars are available in 39” and 48” lengths.
  • Weight- 7.7lbs
  • Weight-bearing capacity- not mentioned but we believe that it can hold up to 350lbs. If you are looking for intense workouts, maybe you should look for something better such as the Rogue Fitness monster lat pulldown/low row machine. Full review here
  • Comes with a heavy-duty carabiner. It is made of 304 stainless steel. The manufacturer claims that it is rust and corrosion-resistant.
  • You can swivel it to 360 degrees, which means you can do almost all types of LAT pulldown exercises.
  • You can attach it to a cable system or a lat machine.

Build quality

As we mentioned at the beginning of the article, the build quality is pretty impressive. It feels solid enough to trust with decent weight. The chrome finish is near perfect but check out for splinters before using it. We recommend this for every home gym product; not just this one.

The rubberized handles are grippy enough for sweaty hands; you won’t need gloves even when you are lifting heavy. They are perfect as such but you can always add some athletic tape later when needed.

What we loved the most about the Dynasquare pulldown lat bar is that it is neither too wide to stick out of our power cage nor too small to cause any discomfort.

Wondering how wide should your lat pulldown bar be?

While some people love training with wide pulldown bars, fitness experts recommend that your lat pulldown bar should be slightly longer than your shoulder width, so they don’t strain your muscles much.

What we love about Dynasquare lat pull down bar

It is a pretty simple product that does exactly what is expected from it. No wonder why it is counted among the best lat pulldown bars.

Don’t get tempted to go with the cheaper alternatives. They are not durable enough to hold a decent amount of weight. They may work for beginners and teens though.

Our Rating: 4/5

Our Verdict:

91% of buyers have rated it 4 stars and above. None of them have mentioned any major issues. It is the best lat pulldown bar for people with decent fitness goals. When used and stored well, it can last for years until you are ready to upgrade it with something better.

If you have already used it, do share your feedback so we can update our review if needed.
